Prom

This past weekend was prom. It was way fun! For our day activity we went white water rafting down the salt river up by globe. I went with a friend from school his name is Chris Temme. It was fun to hang out with some people that i usually dont. But the best part was riding to the dance in an old fire truck! yay for emily and going to her first prom haha. and yes my dress was HUGE!

NATIONALS '08!!

Well, saying that all the hard work paid off at state was a huge understatement. March 7-9 was the USA Spiritline nationals in Anaheim California. The highest that mountain view pom has ever placed at nationals in the past was third place, and our team from the previous year didn't even qualify to finals. My team went in just wanting to do the best that we could. We competed friday morning against 13 other teams. Later that after noon they narrowed it down to a top 6 to compete again on sunday. We made the top 6 and were so incredibly excited. Along with announcing the top 6 they also say what the highest score was in that division. They don't say who got it but it just sort of helps you get an idea of where you're ranked going into finals. Our score was .6 points lower than the top score. We all realized that if our routine went that much better on sunday we had a chance at cing really high. We had a day at disneyland on saturday then bright an early sunday morning we competed. Our routine was awesome and we "left it on the floor" as our coach would say. We knew we had done our best and if another teams best was better than ours then we were fully prepared to be happy with what we got and clap for them. After they announced 6th place we all were like yes top 5 thats amazing! Then top 3.... then we realized it was down to two teams. I dont think any of us breathed after that but then they announced the 2nd place team and it wasn't us. We all went crazy. It was an amazing feeling. We worked so hard all year, and it all paid off in the end. Mountain Views 5 man stunt group also took home the first place trophy out of 62 other teams and the Cheer team took home 3rd. It was such a fun and memorable trip!

STATE '08

January 26th was the state AIA Pom and Cheer Competition. The Mountain View Pom line was going for their 5th championship in a row. It was a lot of pressure but we worked really hard and it all paid off. We won state along with our cheer team who also got first place. Our 5 man stunt team got 2nd but we placed first in the over all Spiritline award. it was a great day. It really meant a lot to me because ever since my sister was a pommie and going to her competitions i couldnt wait for when i would get to compete for mountain view. The best was having everyone come and support me! i have the best friends ever and my family is amazing! Especially Tyler! He is such a good baby and such a trooper, haha his Mountain View onesie was a big hit!

Winter Formal

In january my school had its winter formal.... yes it was way late usually its in december but anyway, it was so much fun! I just had a really small group it was me Madi Lauren Jenni And Alex but it was a blast. I took my friend Greg from my old ward. My grandpa made the steaks for our dinner which we had at my house. My mom megan and Jenni's mom decorated the living room and made the table look beautiful.

Christmas!

I absolutly love christmas time! it is by far the best time of the year and of course reminds me of my grandma Rogers. This year the big Rogers Christmas eve party was at our house. I love getting to see all of the family. It seems like even if people can't make it to the beach or a birthday bag party, christmas is the one time where you usually get to see everyone and i love my family more than anything. Every year morgan and i get a picture together with santa... haha no matter how old i get i dont think i wil think christmas will be complete without this kodak moment with morgan :)

haha the only thing that makes me sad about christmas time is when the night ends i'm the only one at home but since megan and steve love me so much they spent their first christmas married at our house with me! i have the best siblings ever! well christmas morning we opened gifts then later Jonathan kristin and tyler, my grandpa and my aunt Amy uncle Rick and Cousin Erik came over for christmas dinner. Im so greatful for the holiday season!

Bounce U!

for mutual we went to bounce U. for those of you that dont know what bounce u is, its just a place that has two huge rooms with all sorts of the carnival type big inflatable obstacle courses and slides and whatnot. the best thing there in this huge thing than has about 4 layers of these wierd strappy things than can hold your weight but then you can fall through them all the way to the bottom. wow that sounded so intelligent...that probably doesn't make any sense but anyways. haha it was so much fun! we all came out with some burns but it was well wortrth it.

Night Activity

So my posts are jumping around a little bit but thats okay.....

my winter formal was a couple weeks ago and for our night activity we thought it would be fun to rent out a gymnastics place that would have a foam pit and trampolines and whatnot because we figured that would be something that both the boys and girls would have fun with. these videos probably aren't funny if you dont know the people but thats okay...

i told jenni to show me her routine that she used to win the gold medal in the floor event at the last olympics....

Then We wanted to see if it was possible to swing on the rope with someone on your back....
